    Best bang for buck?

I want to get 2 or 3 monitors for my main rig and I'm most concerned about getting the best value for money possible. Are there currently any amazing deals going?

    • #1 priority is CHEAP - as long as it's not the absolutely crappiest one I'm happy
    • Anything 21"-24" is fine, but cheaper is better
    • Only thing I maybe care about is contrast ratio
    • Swivel into portrait mode would also be good
    • As would multiple connectors so I can use the same model of monitor on the VGA/DVI/HDMI ports on one mobo
    • Narrow side bezel a big plus

    Any bargains going?

I have the 23" LG IPS monitors in my eyefinity rig. They come in at £150 each. Scan dont have any in ATM. Excellant monitor for the money.

this is the newer version I think.

Cheers, I'll look into that one. £300 total is pretty much my max budget. Does it do portrait mode too?

I do lots of document editing and coding as well as graphic design. Will I be better off with 3 x 21" or 2 x 23"?

Yes, it is the newer version compared to the IPS236v. Bizzare naming.

However, the IPS235V is ever so hard to get a hold of at the moment. Scan have it on pre-order, with no ETA for shipping. Most other places are out of stock.

Amazon has the 21.5 inch model, the IPS225V, if you're interested in that size.

In there an equivalent monitor that is as good value (or slightly worse at slightly cheaper) I could consider as an alternative while it's out of stock?

    Re: Best bang for buck?

The older LG does portrait mode but I cant speak for the new ones. Also look out for second hand U2311 dell ultrasharps as they go for £160ish.
