Mount an ATX Case to a monitor (or Visa Versa)

Guys, any suggestions on mounting a Lian Li Midi Tower to a 24" iiyama monitor (or mount a monitor to the case) so I can pick it up as one unit?

My space is limited, so once I'm done using my PC (read: playing)I want to easily pick up the system and carry it off to it's 'home' as a single unit (I'll probably put some kind of handle on the top of the case, reinforced too).

Do you think any of these VESA brackets, especially this one would do the job?

It's a given that I'll need to strengthen the PC case's side panels with some metal behind it, as the aluminium would be too flimsy.

Anyone done anything like this? Would you case to share your experiences?

I've not tried it, but I've seen it done, although only with a 19" monitor and a steel case.

I've recently used if not that exact bracket then one almost identical to it, to mount a 15" monitor to a podium.
It's a serious hunk of folded steel, it does stick out a good way, personally I'd go with something thinner like the first one you linked. (also the angling is only downward)

However you'd probably not even need that, drill 4 holes in the side panel and then bolt though it into the monitor

Those 4 holes on the back of the monitor are the standard VESA mounting points and take standard M4 screws, 10mm long (longer only if you're going though thicker material)

But at 5kg the weight and the strength of the aluminium panels would be my worry, also getting the panel on and off with that much weight on it.

There's lots of options but nothing off the shelf.
Some sort of cage or frame made of steel, which could then be hung on top of the case to spread the load over the main body of the case might work, but i's something that you'd have to design and make or get custom made.

Would the monitor be attached to the case while in use?
I would think that it would be difficult to angle the monitor.
