21.5~22" Monitor for 1920x1-80 gaming(FPS)
OK, so I know that this kind of question has been asked before but I find model numbers change at an alarming rate and when I check the specification have been ever so slightly tweaked. As per the title I want a 22" monitor (the desk cannot fit a 23") for the main purpose of playing games. I have a shortlist because I want to stay under £150 if I can (unless over this get me something a but special). It must not have a glossy glass screen, don't care about speakers, mainly for FPS games, no need or care for 3D. My Graphics card (6870) has HDMI so that is no issue
These are the ones I saw and seemed quite good for the money:
Samsung S22A300H (2ms)+ HDMI Cable = £113
ViewSonic VX2239WM (2ms, 51cm) = £115
iiyama ProLite E2274HDS-B (2ms, 50.5cm) = £125
ViewSonic VX2253MH-LED (5ms) + HDMI = £115
BenQ G2222HDL (5ms) = £94
I am especially confused as to whether LED is a worthwhile investment or if it is just the latest acronym stuck on monitors to convince me my old one is out of date.
Please help - i have spent about 2-3 weeks procrastinating and I want it here before I but my Ivy Bridge kit.
Re: 21.5~22" Monitor for 1920x1-80 gaming(FPS)
I can't recommend a particular screen as I'll only have read about them and tastes, needs and expectations vary, so I can only suggest looking further regarding the models in that list. If you haven't done it already, see if you can gather any impressions from YouTube or find reports of problems from forums (people will shout loudly if they're unhappy!). I can't search right now but I'll be happy to do so if you'd like some help when I next get the chance.
To be more immediately useful, LED in the current sense simply refers to an alternate method of lighting the panel. Some use tubes, some use LEDs to back-light. You'll find conflicting reports on which is 'best', but perhaps that's not so important when you have a set price to consider and understand the compromises with any flat panel display.
Are there any features that you consider 'must haves' - a certain number of sockets, colour accuracy or as you've included them there, low millisecond ratings perhaps?

I have had an older (non LED) Prolite (E2209HDS) for about 2 years & it's great. Getting rid of it soon as I've got a 27" Dell waiting to be unboxed for my new system.
