Dell U2412M vs ASUS P238Q vs BenQ XL2420T
I'm trying to decide which one of the above monitors to buy as an all around monitor (games included) for my new build .
I know the BenQ is supposed to be superb for games but I'd like to try an IPS panel for a change. I do worry though about repsonse time etc (8ms for the dell, 6ms for the asus). Are these modern ISP panels fine for gaming?
The Asus looks an impressive monitor on paper with the best colour reproduction of all, and the fastest response time for an IPS, but there are too many user comments on the web for serious bleeding issues with this panel.
Looking forward to your advice.

I have the dell and it's fine in games, never noticed any issues. But i haven't tried either of the other monitors.

If it was just for gaming, maybe the response time would matter, particularly for FPS and racing games. But as an all-rounder, the Dell is a terrific monitor for the price (I paid £222 from Scan). Fantastic colours and contrast at wide viewing angles, sturdy and versatile stand, low power, 16:10 AR, USB hub, and 3 year No Dead Pixel Guarantee. And no issues with any games either (I play mainly RPGs, Skyrim/Witcher/Dragon Age etc.)

I mainly play BF3, and have no issues at all with ghosting. It was all the above features, plus Dell's zero dead pixel warranty that sold it for me.

The Dell has a really good reputation and I would take the response times with a pinch of salt, if you can see or tell the difference between 6ms and 8ms response time I'll eat my shoe!

You will adjust to the difference - it is visible side-by-side or if you are used to a higher refresh rate, but it won't affect your game enjoyment.

The PA238Q despite the issues, seems to use an 8 bit panel with a 10 bit LUT,which is unheard of at the price, For image editing it does sound an interesting choice. The Dell uses a 6 bit panel with A-FRC,but probably is the better all-rounder.

Have a look at the Samsung S23a750D and the S27a750D. Both look sleek and amazing. I got one myself :)
Can be found at around 270 for 23 inch and 330 for 27 inch.

+4 got my Dell U2412M through scan at under £230 delivered and wow compared to my old AG Neovo monitor it is amazing! I've not noticed any problems when gaming (BF3, Skyrim, Diablo III, TF2 etc) and Dells 3 year no dead pixle warranty is a nice bit of extra comfort!
I'm by no means saying its better than the other two having never tried any of them but I'm very happy with my purchase and if I was able to run a 3 monitor setup wouldn't hesitate to purchase two more.
