Upgrade?

So , this may seem like a dumb question but right now im gaming on a old Samsung Syncmaster monitor at 1440 x 900 .
Will i notice a difference if i was to but a monitor with say a 5ms response time? Would the gameplay be more fluent and smoother?

you will only see a difference in movie playback and slight difference in games thats about it really
