About to win an action for the same monitor and seller. This doesn't sound promising...
To be honest, the seller was fantastic. I'm sure you won't have any problems with him if you encounter any issues.
Maybe I was unlucky or just too fussy, but I wouldn't pay that much & have any faults however minute.
Good luck with your purchase, hope you get a defect free one.
Please update us when you get it :)
Monitor turned up last week and I couldn't detect any issues with it. The dell shipping label had the seller's name on it with an UK address so it doesn't appear to be a grey import?
Good to hear.
I have got the same issue with the same buyer, just phoned up Dell today and will receive a replacement tomorrow. Cannot fault Dells customer services, am just a bit concerned that the next refurbed panel will have the same problem after coming across this thread. I bought Dell as I thought there panels were bullet proof......
Good luck mate.
Hope you manage to get a problem free display.
I've seriously been contemplating the jump to 2560x1440 from my old TN 1920x1200 24", and as per usual have been reading up about the best ones - this isnt the thread to talk about it - but just curious to know if those of you who have the u2713 have encountered some of the issues that seem to be cropping up in articles/forums. This is the cross hatching (Or visibility of faint diagonal lines), and buzzing with white screens, and even that lovely old timer of backlight bleed.
I'm not looking to bash it - Its the forerunner for me, (up against the Asus something-or-other) and the pixel policy is enough really to make me want to go with them - but just interested to hear opinions now a few of you have had them for a while. I'm focusing mostly on general internet use and gaming, but any thoughts would be grand.

It's odd that you got 3 dud monitors i was lucky when i got my U2410 - not had a issue with it and peace of mind of 3yrs cover [so much so am saving for another U2410]
A lot of the sellers are buying in bulk direct from Dell [they have business accounts or summat] - Dell iirc can not sell these has new on it's website [i think they do run a re-furb shop but can not remember] so they have to do something with them.
If you are having problems with the 2713 its probably because its so new. The U2410 is on its 10th revision!! I tend not to buy in the first year with Dell monitors because the early ones tend to have the major issues and after the first year the revisions start to become available. Dells support is very good and they do honour their 3 year returns so you would be covered if a fault developed.
If buying Dell monitors from eBayers ask for the revision number, usually starts with A, in U2410's case A10 is the one to get.
Im eating my words slightly, partly because 2 eBayers had some bargains of the century so snapped them up, managed to get 2 unused Dell P1913S for £80 each.
Well I have just gone with the one from the Dell website on the U2713HM (unfortunately the U2713H wasn't included in the deal)
£366.48 inc delivery! (and cashback pending)
Can't wait to get a second monitor up and running, been without too long, and it's planned to get a 2713HM and a 2713H later on (or another 2713HM)
Now to order a soundbar so I can get some sound on the Xbox :D
Just been reading up on these - the U2713H is very different from the U2713HM. The H won't be out until Jan 2013 earliest according to tftcentral. It offers wider colour gamut, and more colour adjustment and possibly more processing IIRC. Not saying the HM is bad, just that the H is more feature rich and better for colour editing work. Usefully the H has a sRGB mode you can kick it into as well as the adobe RGB so no lobster skin on standard DVDs. :)
Also coming up is the U2413H which also offers the wide colour space. Be interesting to see if this heralds the end for the U2410. The money is primed, just waiting to see what the reviews yield in the new year.
Took delivery, and using mine right now. Its got to have the most poor backlight bleeding ever!!!. No dead/bright stuck pixels though.

Have emailed dell. Anyone out there got a mobile friendly phone number for customer services?
try seaarching on saynoto0870 website
why do people keep buying this crap.
Yes search the saynoto0870 website.
Use 01/02/03 numbers as they are part of your included minutes.
0800 numbers are premium for some reason.
I can't believe how bad the back light bleeding is.
