I have connected my monitor to xbox with a Dvi-hdmi cable, and I only get video output, no sound output? I've tried all different combinations even sawing off the plastic bit on the xbox cable and plugging it in but the HDMI cable seems to cancel it out..
No idea what to do, all help will be useful and appreciated.

You'll have to get one of the audio breakout boxes that came with the official HDMI kit which allows you to wire up some analog inputs: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j0...YS-X3075B-.jpg
Other than that, most 360 VGA cables have the audio cables separate too so if you can, it might be less hassle just to use one of them.
Lastly, your monitor does have speakers, right?

for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
A DVI-HDMI adapter lets you only get the video output, you are on the right track though.
What is your setup like? The mod you did on the xbox cable should work fine, you just connect the red and white audio cables, sometimes with a 3.5mm adapter, to a set of speakers.
