Not sure if this is a great idea or not. Philips' 21:9 TV never made much of an impact anyhow, tho it sure looked sexy as hell
Perhaps with a higher res (and ideally OLED with a curve)...
Still anything new-ish in the monitor arena is fairly interesting IMO as it seems to have stagnated over the last few years....

Anyway, if the originals are 21:9 then 3 in portrait would be 27:21, rather than 5:4 </pedant>
Actually, I can see a lot of benefit for productivity. It's far from unusual to see people running 2 17" monitors side by side, and this would basically be the equivalent - particularly with Win 7's snap features. 1280x1080 would be a perfectly acceptable single monitor size - this is just two of them fused together
Running one vertically I could see the benefit, but just feel that's far too much to run horizontally for a desktop.
