Hi Guys

Can any of you guys help as I hoping to purchase the Dell Ultrasharp LED IPS 23" Monitor U2312HM (I can't afford the 24") but can any of you guys reconmend a 24" monitor that would be as good or nearly as good as the Dell Ultrasharp
Budget £150-£200

I just bought the model in question, is fantastic - best buy for the money. I don't know of any that I would advise to purchase over that one.

hmm I'm feeling more better know about spending the extra money to get the DELL and peoples feedback seems to be VERY good :-) also Many thanks Dingo for the Link --I might not be able to stretch the budget to a 24" Dell BUT the 23" Dell e.g. the same monitor I want to but is even cheaper than I was able to find:-)

One of the main reasons I like my DELL monitors is the stand. The general feel of the monitor as a whole is very good, it feels well built etc, not flimsy, and the stands are great, both for construction in terms of fitting them/taking them off etc and being able to move the monitor (angle it, move it up and down etc)

Yep, I agree about dell stand - seems totally flexible. Personally, my aim is to get eyefinity set up. So, as much as I love the dell monitors, I figured it's probably better performance/cost wise to get multiple 23- 24 inch screens from LG or such with vesa dock (?) with one of those multi-monitor stands.

I did some research on this, at this price range it's one of the best one's around. Definitely worth getting!

Iiyama have some good offerings with IPS panels

My work uses exclusively dual screen set-up Iiyama screens and so far none have ever failed or had any problems, and the graphics are great, so I can certainly recommend them. They are not used for gaming so I can't say on that front, but colour saturation and sharpness are very good.

It probably is, yes, but as people sometimes come to a thread, or even find Hexus, through a search leading ti a thread like thus, I'll add an up-to-date thought on the original question .... Dell U2412M.

It's Dell, it's Ultrasharp series with the 3-yr pixel warranty, decent stand, rotatable, IPS, 24", a pretty much within budget, certainly if you hunt about a bit. I know someone that bought one last week, PCBuyIt, IIRC, at just under £200, and he seems pretty pleased.

Only thing .... it's fairly wide gamut and IPS, some okay for general and photo work, but 8ms so some might be a bit concerned about gaming. Personally, I think it's fast enough, but that's just me.
