"Ultrawide" monitors (21:9), e.g. Dell U2913WM
Anyone got one? I'm aware of the Dell U2913WM and I understand there are others in this format from LG and possibly NEC. This would be for a mostly-games PC which I already have, graphics card is an HD7950 so shouldn't have any trouble driving it. I do sometimes use some music recording and production software so the extra width would be nice (I haven't got the space for multi-monitor setups).
Struggling to find any reviews so particularly interested in gaming image quality, ghosting or other artefacts, that sort of thing...

Not surprised about the lack of reviews as the suppliers have put supply date back untill January 14th 2013 allegedly.

Aria have some in stock...

Keep an eye on TFT Central as they have a review coming soon on the U2913WM.

The issue is it's still 1080. The new ASUS 27" PB278Q 2560x1440 looks nice, but is still 60Hz. I can't wait for the IPS/PLS screens to become 120Hz. I know there are arguments for 60Hz vs 120Hz, but for me the difference is such it's hard to go back now. 120Hz just feel so much more solid a picture.

Aria has had some mega deals on these lately. Can only see them dropping more as few will buy.

Have a look at 120hz.net and Overlord Computers, there's always discussions there on the topic (and you can buy from them too). Personally I also prefer 16:9 to these ultrawides and that won't change unless, as you say, they become a lot higher specced than 1080 and 60hz.
