I don't understand all the numbers but it looks good and says Full HD.

something a decent size for gaming and watching movies from bed but also cheap as possible. there were cheaper on scan but i was unsure. and (if i'm honest) this one had a large number next to it, 5000000:1.
Here is an amazon link for ya. Cheaper see, also in stock.

I think that this is the best deal that I can find.
You also need to remember that the response time is pretty good (5ms), it is an IPS panel (instead of tn, essentially IPS gives better viewing angles), and it is a full hd monitor.
I do not know how useful this is, but I actually own the IPS 225V, the previous model from 2011, and the only gripe that I have with it is that the stand is non-adjustable, but otherwise it is very good value.
Hope this helps.

I wouldn't worry about the numbers too much, the manufacturers put any old nonsense on there. That particular screen is out of stock at the moment, no ETA, so you may want an alternative.
I'd make sure you get a screen with IPS (that one does) and look for LED backlighting (that one has it), beyond that the main difference will be connections (i.e. do you want DVI/HDMI), warranty, styling etc.
In short, it'll do exactly what you want, and to come with all of those features it looks like a bit of a bargain to me.

Ah so IPS is what im looking for (always annoys me that i have to keep adjusting my laptop screen when im in bed.
All the LG seem to be out of stock, damn. Theres a few others that i wouldn't mind but i'm unsure if they have what i want so ill have to go have a read.
As for amazon, id prefer to buy from scan even at a little extra. Since they're just down the road from me its easier to make returns if anything is wrong (arrives with dead pixels for example).
Although that is a really good monitor especially for the price.

Once you go IPS there is no going back to TN.
Yeah it's perfect for gaming
Guess you have a fixed budget for this or rather wish not to spend more if it is not necessary...?
If the answer to the previous question if "Yes", the this monitor is very good, got a IPS panel (superior in some aspects to old TN panels), LED backlighting and got a number of modern connections.
As Zerox said for the previous model, this model (judging by the pictures) is non-adjustable, be careful with that or you may end up having your monitor on a couple of books
Some customers complained about the DVI cable missing from the package, only VGA was supplied, be careful with that.
the lgs are exceptional.
i have the 23 inch model.
colours are fantastic and viewing angles very good.
the only problem i have is it's power saving is a bit aggressive. it takes too long to turn on/off and sometimes is not very smart about incoming connections and will not turn its self on.
other than that definitely reccommend
