    Monitor Helpp!!

    Hey guys,

Ive been looking all over the internet to find some answers, but can't seem to find any!

Basically, I bought a new Samsung monitor, which does not support any audio output or input. I have my Xbox 360 Slim hooked up to the monitor via a HDMI Cable.

Now what I want to do is get sound, whilst I'm playing games. I have Logitech 2:1 speakers which use a 3.5 mm audio jack and also have an AUX port at the back of the subwoofer ( where you can connect the red and white cables)

Is there a way I can get sound at all coming from my speakers, because there is nowhere the 3.5mm jack can go into the monitor nor the xbox.
    Would appreciate the help!!
    Thanks

Not that its much of a help but hdmi cables also include sound, so your monitor should be able to play it (unless the monitor doesnt have speakers!). You can get converters from 3.5 to speaker plugs, maybe they would help...

Have a look see through the list. Maybe there's something more appropriate:

Let me clarify a few things here...

You have a set of 2.1 speakers... The subwoofer is a part of that set, right?

Xbox's output sound via RCA cables (the red and white ones) and to go to a 3.5mm audio jack, you'll need something like these...
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...rds=AUX+to+RCA

Basically, a 3.5mm jack to RCA cable.
This one specifically should do the trick...

Then of course there's the problem that (if your xbox is like mine...)

The audio connector can't be plugged in at the same time as the hdmi! Ridiculous I know! It basically assumes you'll either be getting your audio out via the HDMI (which you can't as you've said your monitor has no audio in or out ability) or via the combined audio and video socket (red, white and yellow) which has a little tab that blocks off the hdmi slot. Such a useful design!

So what you then need is what I had to buy... this...
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I think, if I understand everything correctly, this should give you everything you need...

Let me know if something doesn't make sense, or doesn't match up to the way your system is set up....
