    Lg 29ea93-p

I've been looking around at monitors for some time now, originally deciding to go with an ACER around two months ago and being extremely disappointed because of the amount of glare the glossy screen gave off. I use my PC solely for gaming & maybe a bit of video editing here and there (although it's very rare at the minute).

After having an IPS monitor for just a day and returning it, I was amazed by the color difference so it's bought me to this monitor: http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-29EA93
I know the price is a little hefty, 5ms response time could be better and not all games support 2560x1020(or 1440, I can't remember which it was now) but could anyone justify spending nearly £400 on a monitor & would it be worth it? I guess I'm just looking for some input from people with more experience than me.

I'm running a 2GB DirectCU II GTX 670 so I'm aware If I want to max out that 2560x1080 I'd probably have to add another 670 or maybe go up to the 4GB 770 I assume?

Your current Vram size not a problem for that res I'd venture, maybe if you had 3 of those monitors

Even though I have had a bad experience with BenQ's RMA, do you not fancy a BenQ XL2420T 120hz screen? Sure I have saw an XL2420T for £120 over on avforums.

Mine has been brilliant but just a shame I had to send it back for a dead pixel :/

Yeah I'd go with 120hz and Lightboost over superwide but it's personal preference....

I'd recommend the Asus PB278Q if you're after a big screen and willing to put £450 on a monitor. Check out the TFT Central review on it to see how excellent the responsiveness of trace-free PLS is without sacrificing colour quality/accuracy like TN panels do.

To answer your question though, hell no I wouldn't spend £400 on a monitor!
