and adjusting the settings i found the overdrive settings from level 1 to level 5
i was just wondering what is it and how does it affect gaming?

IIRC it's to set a balance between fast refresh and input lag.
I read an article on it a while ago - I'll see if I can find the link.

It's more about the problems it can create, but it explains it well enough.
Thanks for that mate. My monitor has had it on for a long time now and didnt know about this problem, i have disabled it now and the image is fine to me with less screen tears so is it best to leave it off if its fine without?
Monitor performance is pretty much entirely subjective so, if you feel happy with the change, keep it as it is. :)
