I want to use my setup to start learning about photo editing software but my screen is not displaying colours correctly. I want to find a good calibration tool, one that uses coloured glasses to adjust the colour values but I have not been able to find this.
Can anyone suggest a good ISF approved solution?
I used an X-rite i1display-pro quite successfully recently. A lot of people use the Datacolor Spyder models.

I was looking for something around £20-£30 mark. I know they exist but can't remember where I saw them or what were called.

If you're printing then photobox and the likes will send you a test card with a website link to the same image so you can check how your monitor compares to their prints.

Did you link to the right thing? All your link shows for me is a DVD guide which contains some test screens, nothing about ISF accreditation. Test cards are useless without a reference hard copy, which is why I mentioned photobox etc. If you just want test cards then you can use the online ones.
Ahh. I see where I went wrong! The BlueRay version comes with the tri-colour filters but as I don't have a BlueRay drive I linked to the DVD version. I guess I need to find a version on DVD with the filters.
Colour filters? I don't get it.
The way it is supposed to work, at least this is how I understand it, is that images/test cards containing specific values are shown so that when viewing those images/test cards through the filters or coloured glasses they will make colours of specific values invisible unless those colours are incorrectly calibrated, so the idea is to adjust settings on the monitor until those colours can't be seen through the glasses or filters before moving on the next colour. I think brightness, contrast, black and white levels etc... need to be fixed first before going on to calibrate colours using the filters and test card images.
Oh I see - same sort of thing as the matching solid colour to the shaded colour in the lagom tests. Makes sense.
Yeah, I'm told it will get the same results as using a colorimeter at a much lower cost, or at least as far as on screen work goes, once I want to start printing I will need a much better solution for that but right now I want to keep my costs as low as possible,
If I can't find a DVD version with the filters how easy would it be to buy the BlueRay version and then rip it to run to run on my PC?
I presume the reason you're looking for the DVD version is because you don't have a blu-ray drive? In which case, impossible
I do have access to a PC with a BlueRay drive, sorry, I didn't make that clear in my question, I would be able to rip the disc on that computer, assuming it's a reasonably simple enough process. But yes, I don't have a BlueRay drive of my own and can't remember the last time I used my DVD-RW drive to tell the truth.I presume the reason you're looking for the DVD version is because you don't have a blu-ray drive? Cool, I'm not sure about the ripping aspect, but if the computers are networked you should have no problem either networking the blu-ray drive, or remote accessing the PC with the drive.
