I have been using my old 21" (1600x1200) Sony trinitron for many years, and its finally starting to show its age, with intermittent flickering, and various other terminal looking symptoms. So it looks like its time to crack open the wallet and invest in a one of those new fangled flat screen monitors.
My usage is a mix of fast fps games and some rather amateur photo editing. On the plus side I do have access to a calibrator if that makes any difference.
£150ish
22" minimum
Speakers not necessary
Any thoughts?

You'll be pleased by web page browsing and text.. but apart from that you're going to miss the colours and motion of the CRT. I have a similar Dell - great value for money, and probably best compromise between gaming and photo-work for the price, but you will take a little while to adjust to the inferior motion handling. (But once you've adjusted you'll forget what the CRT was like and it'll all be good).
