Multiple Monitor - Applications opening on wrong monitor

I just set up a quad display. Whenever I open an application (Word file, browser window, pdf) it keeps opening in the top right monitor. Is there any way I can make it open in the main display ie the bottom left monitor.

Assuming you're using windows stuff opens on the last monitor it was opened on. You can choose which is the primary monitor (either gets the bar in windows xp/7 or gets the notification area in 8.1) in the graphics settings.

Re: Multiple Monitor - Applications opening on wrong monitor

I had this problem when I was using an old TV as a secondary monitor. Firefox generally opened on the wrong screen and GIMP would always open up with the toolbars on one screen and the main section on the other. I didnt manage to find a way to sort it, so I just got rid
If anyone has a solution I might go back though :')

What OS are you on? I seem to remember this sort of problem on XP, but on Windows 7 things seem to remember where they open last.

Hmm, I always had to move mine whenever I started something up.
I get a similar experience with WMP though. Its supposed to open on the last album/ artist you were looking at, but its been opening on Knife Party for the past few weeks now
My Windows just seems to remember one thing and keep that as default, haha

Re: Multiple Monitor - Applications opening on wrong monitor

Displayfusion does lots of things, and one of those things is forcing apps to open on a particular monitor. I didn't want all the other fluff it gave, and eventually uninstalled it, but that part (which was what I wanted) did do the right thing.
