Dead (White) Pixel - Benq XL2411T

    Hi guys,

A noob-ish question - I've got a white pixel at the top centre edge of my Benq XL2411T monitor
    - I didn't notice it at first and it doesn't bother me a great deal.

My worry is - will the defect cause further dead pixels in the future?

Benq's policy is 5 dead pixels at the edges - which overclockers match - so one pixel is not enough for RMA.

I could send it back by the distance selling policy to Overclockers but I'm inclined to live with it, if it will not spread.

Its a great monitor regardless of the white pixel.

    Thanks for any advice

That's a stuck rather than dead pixel, I think.

I was actually in the same boat as you recently having bought the same monitor, also from OCUK. I returned it, since I can't stand stuck/dead pixels.

Anyway, the current one won't cause further ones, but that doesn't mean more couldn't develop independently down the road. Personally I would return it just for that one alone.

Thanks for the reply - That's good news regarding the stuck pixel - I wasn't wanting it to spread.

I barely notice the little thing to be honest and the XL2411T is an excellent monitor regardless - no screen tare at all in games.

    Thanks again
