    Question Question - Upgrading 22" 1680 x1050 to 1080P 24" or 27" screen

I am upgrading my monitor from my old 22" screen to a 1080P screen.

I was going to jump on the 24" scene and spend around £150...

Today I saw 27" screens next to 24"'s and fell in love with 27"

I can stretch my budget up £230 for a 27"

    Is it worth it?

I literally play Battlefield 4 mostly (one of the few who has no issues with that game) but I also do alot of work in the evenings from home.

I sit 2 feet away from my desk.

For that money I'd be tempted by 2 23", but it depends on the type of work you do. Once you've had 2 monitors you literally cannot go back to just one.

Personally, if I was going 27" I'd want a higher resolution than 1080p.

Also, as herulach, I've been using dual screens for a while now and would never go back. I'd probably go for a good value 24" 1080p and save the spare budget to get a second.

I'd have to agree with that one, above 24" 1080p might be a bit low res.

I went back to a 27" Dell with 1440p, nicer than my 2x1080p screens + a little one at work.

I use a 22" at work and home with my 15" laptop screen - this is actually a good set up for me. The 27" increase is really for gaming really.

I don't want to go higher than 1080p because I can't afford a new GPU to run BF4 any higher than 1080p

If your GPU can handle it and has the ports why not get 2 more matching monitors and go triple screen...

    Re: Question - Upgrading 22" 1680 x1050 to 1080P 24" or 27" screen

    Went with 27" LG 27EA63V-P

For less than £230 seemed like the best IPS screen to go for.

Playing Battlefield 4 is perfectly good. My last monitor was only 60hz refresh, so I am missing nothing by not getting 120hz.
