I'm interested to know, now that the 2GB GTX770 is becoming so cheap, and that it seems to be quite a leap up to the 780/Ti prices...
I'd like to have a 2560x1440 monitor, even more for desktop work than for games. I use a lot of art, design and music software where the extra resolution would be a real boon. Besides that, of course it would be nice to play games at 1440p too, but I notice that the current standard test games tend to come out at about 30-50fps and that doesn't bode well for the future.
So, assuming I'd be looking at a future of playing 1080p settings spread out over a 1440p screen - how does it look? Or would you advise me to just stick with 1080p, enjoy the great frame rates, and maybe a second screen for the extra spill when doing creative work?
