That one is the standard 16:9 monitor rather than an Ultra wide. Its a decent option but i'm eagarly awaiting these 21:9 ones hitting the shops.

£275....so, so tempted.
I looked at that one when I got my dell but avoided it because the plan was to out it on an arm, low down. It doesn't look like it would handle that too gracefully with the ports on the stand :(
The Dell it's only 329 at the moment..

Anandtech came to pretty much the same conclusions as Linus.
Do want one. Maybe when Dell release their UltraSharp version I will be in a better position to justify it ;)
They do seem to be extremely good value for money. Some games have issues but I am sure it's a very temporary situation and the last few programmers will adjust to non-normal aspect ratios soon enough.
Mines out for delivery so I'll report back later :)
You went for the AOC then?
Yup, from Amazon. Safe in the knowledge I can return it with minimal fuss if needed. A few people have overclocked it by a fair amount so worth a punt I recon.
If it turns out to be pants, I'll just get the 34UM95. I'd like it to have dropped a bit more in price first, but I tend to buy quality and keep forever (one of the two screens in front of me is a Dell 2405). With the kind of work I do, I suspect an ultrawide is going to make a big difference.
I want an ultrawide TV now though :|
edit - it's here. Time to clear the desk....that might take a while, lol.
the 34UM95 is starting to appear in more stores now. Its currently on a 'this week only' @ OCUK for £799
I think £500-600 is where i would slip from "tempted" to "wheres my wallet?"
