Upgrading from Dell 2407 wfp

I've had my dell 2407 wfp for a long time now still works great no dead pixels. I was wondering though whether it would be worth upgrading to a 27" 1440p or another 24" monitor as I'm tempted to get the gtx970.

Has the wfp been superseded in terms of performance with other 24" monitors? I'm not a professional gamer but do like to play all sorts from FPS to RTS etc

I believe there are many panel types out there now. The Dell is a VA panel? Are there better ones now? PVA IPS? My budget would be £375-400 for either 27 or 24"

I'm in the same boat, have a Dell 2407WFP-HC which is awesome but would like something larger, something 27"+

Hi I haven't jumped ship yet lots of 27" monitors out there nothing suggests that the Dell has been succeeded just different companies make slightly different types of IPS panels VA monitors don't appear to easy to get hold of now. Unless I'm mistaken.

I would be tempted by the Asus rog swift which is TN but the outrageous price tag has put me well off.

I've loved my 24" Dell monitor so was looking at the Dell U2715H 27" QHD IPS Monitor as an upgrade. Not many reviews about for it yet though.
