~72HZ Gaming and general Ssage

Just wondering if anyone else has done this.
On my previous machine a few times I had left on the custom "overclocked" refresh rate for video and found it noticeable smoother than 60Hz, not just in games but in Windows general use too, which makes sense as it's a 20% difference. Makes Vsync a trickier proposition so I didn't find it worthwhile in most games but if you GPU headroom it's a nice way to improve things, especially on older games.

A lot of screens don't support it but in theory, it should be smoother.

I find desktop usage at higher refresh rates to be more beneficial than gaming.

yeah generally unsupported officially. I can imagine the first ips gsync monitors having it officially enabled..

I overclocked my screen to 75 htz but didnt find and advantage to doing it. Might have another go and see if its just me.
