AOC G2460PF 24" FreeSync Monitor - freesync range?

Hi folks,

Has anyone seen a solid / confirmed freesync range that this monitor will operate between yet?

There was a rumour that it would operate between 30-160hz (the 160hz isn't a typo - this came from an AOC rep apparently) but this may have been an incorrect statement as it exactly matches the horizontal refresh range which has nothing to do with freesync.

Would be great to understand what the range is!

Answered my own question on the OCuK forum - 30-160hz but you'll have to overclock to get the 160hz top end - confirmed by an AOC rep:

According to the R&D guys in our headquarters,the G2460PF support a 30Hz-160Hz range when FreeSync is in use

Although the panel is capped to 144Hz, if you are willing to overclock it (and void the warranty), FreeSync would still hold up to 160Hz.

So, please hear it here 1st...do not overclock...I know you will, I mean won't"

I bought one of these monitors, based on the widely reported spec of freesyncing down to 30hz ..., this being confirmed by the AOC uk rep.

there's a good thread concerning it on the overclockers uk forum (in the monitor sub-forum, within the 'Hardware' one - thread has the name of the monitor: AOC G2460PF. I can't post a link it would appear,as this is my first post here...).

To bring things up to date here, its transpired that the monitor freesyncs only down to about 50 / 48 hz, and also has 'overdrive' issues (although I've not been troubled by that aspect).

The afore-mentioned rep. posted in the OClockers thread on the 20th that a new driver was being tested that would enable sync down to 35hz, which would be fantastic, as well as sorting the Overdrive issue.
However, he's not posted since that date, and my registration with the OC forum is not completing the activation process thus far.

There's no driver up on the AOC europe site (where the rep. said it would appear).

If anyone sees my post here, and can post on the Oclocker's thread, it would be great if they could query if the driver is actually going to become available or not...

Note - since making this video, AOC recalled the monitor and I believe the overdrive functionality is working as intended @ 144hz now which will make the monitor a much better choice.

I settled, however, for the outstanding BenQ XL2730Z monitor instead - I got used to it being a 27" screen @ 2560x1440. The colours and overall performance are outstanding.
