    Samsung KU6400 4K

    Hi all,

Im planning on buying the Samsung KU6400 it looks good and its a new version.
I was wondering does any one know which version of HDMI it has? Has previous 4k TV has had HDMI 1.4 and that means it doesn't use the advantages of 4K.

So was wondering as its a 4K if it has HDMI 2.0 or HDMI 2.0a? I know it says it has 3 HDMI ports but thats it hehe.

Also of what I have read the new DisplayPOrt 1.4 looks to be better then HDMI 2.1. But I never read of TV using DisplayPort to be honest.

    Thanks for the help

I see the mods here are tough on everything apart from actual modding

    Re: Samsung KU6400 4K

Well, it's debatable whether a TV is a monitor, it's certainly a display device, so we couldChange the title of displays and monitors to explicitly include TVs, but no harm done, I'll just move it with a temporary re-direct (which I would have done if I'd been alerted in the normal way rather than by an unhelpful comment )

    Re: Samsung KU6400 4K

I have read that this model has USB 2.0 but apparently its more than adequate and doesn't need USB 3.0.
It has HDMI 2.0a so thats great.

Last years model was JU6400 does anyone know if this KU6400 is an improved version and worth while.

As It will be the first TV I buy and want to make it as future proof as possible. Also not spending a bomb and buy it a reasonable price.

The flag ship models are too expensive for me sadly hehe.

I read it was HDMI 2.0 not 2.0a, where did you get that from?

    Re: Samsung KU6400 4K

I have had several Samsung TV's, currently have one and there are usually subtle differences between versions though sometimes they do implement much needed fixes.

    Re: Samsung KU6400 4K

Well I have read that KU series doesn't have great HDR but it has HDR.

I think I will buy it and hope that it would last me many years and its future proof for many years hehe.

Don't know if TV's do system updates.
