    Best monitor for photo editing

I am looking to replace my Apple Thunderbolt 27” Display.

I’d like something at least 27”, UHD/4K, and am willing to spend up to around a $1000.
I’ll be using it with a 2017 MacBook Pro.

    Recommendations?

Updated: I have bought ViewSonic VP2785, it's great, if you also need a monitor for photo editing, I recommend you read this article.

Re: Best monitor for photo editing

This article Lists some UHD monitors that are compatible with Mac hardware.

    https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT206587

For photo editing, the important thing is to be able to calibrate the monitor so you have an absolute standard to edit to (apologies if this is telling you something you know) one of the Data Elite Spyder series (Datacolor Spyder5PRO - S5P100 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UBSL3..._ERonAbWKNPJC0) may be useful.

In general terms I’ve found both Dell and Samsung products to be good, but photo-editing isn’t something I do much of.

I'm an old school Viewsonic fan, it'll be quite tricky to replace an Apple display (they do do some things right! lol) but I would suggest checking their product stack. They are good at Engineering.

Which colour space are you working with? Adobe RGB?

Hexus is a UK forum, so we get people from lots of English speaking countries that use different types of dollars here. You'll need to specify what sort of dollars they are if you want suggestions within budget. Australian? America? Canadian? Hong Kong? New Zealand? Singapore?
