Been asked to recommend a monitor
Hi my sister has asked me to recommend a monitor for my nephews Xmas, at the moment all I know is he has an amd cpu and GPU from a few years back (might be a 5450hd card). So his birthday is in March and will be getting a new rig (again it will be AMD’s) so here’s the problem she asked me to pick one from 2 online/high street retailers as she has vouchers and BNPL plans. Delete If I am not allowed as not in direct competition with anyone, they are ar*os & ve*y so any help on 27” or 32” monitors ?
Thanks
Re: Been asked to recommend a monitor
Is the main ambition to play games on the monitor? Is the upcoming system likely to be strong enough to play games at 1440p or are you aiming at 1080p?
The beauty of this situation is the AMD GPU, giving you the ability to use FreeSync monitors which are much cheaper.
Re: Been asked to recommend a monitor
Thanks will probably be a Ryzen < £200 with a 580/590 < £250 if looking now so whatever this buys him in a few months, as for use general use with whatever games a 15 year old will play (16 on birthday)
Re: Been asked to recommend a monitor
I bought this a few weeks ago when it was £100 - its about £129 at PC world C24F396 Full HD 24" Curved LED Monitor. i've been really impressed with it. I'm not obsessed with latest and greatest refresh rates etc but the colors and clarity of it are great
