4K 60Hz or QHD 120Hz for gaming on Xbox One X?

I'm looking to buy a monitor - not too expensive though (maybe up to £325) and my choices are between 4K60 or QHD144.

The Xbox One X does have settings that allow it to go up to 120Hz when in 1440P resolution and also has FreeSync.

Which one would be better overall in your opinions?

A few people have seemed to suggest that most games are capped at 60 anyway so I may as well enjoy the full 4K quality in most games. Does anyone here use either 4K60 or 1440P120 and if so are you enjoying the quality/performance?

Do you game on PC too? If so you may want to consider the 144Hz screen.

VRR/Freesync is spotty on the 1X as it requires the game to support it and also that you buy a monitor with a larger FreeSync (30-60Hz, rather than the usual 40-70Hz) field to get the most out of it.

If you're buying it for 1080p122 or 1440p120 I'd forget about it. I'm not aware of any 120Hz games on the 1X.

TL;DR: 4K60 is likley your best option AFAIK, unless you have a decent PC you want to play at high-framrate on there too.
