Hi all, finally got some cash spare looking to buy a new monitor to replace a fairly old Dell anybody got any real world recommendations? The reviews I read seem to be comparing budget monitors to top end screens and it makes shopping around difficult. I'm looking to spend about £150 could go higher but 150 its ideal for me.
I'm looking for a 24" inch screen
Something with good colour and contrast
vga or dvi and hdmi ports
Ideally thin bezels - but not essential
Unsure on IPS or TN -I'm pretty much in front of the screen most of the time but I sit abit lower than my desk due to horrendous posture
I was originally thinking of getting something like the AOC G2460VQ6 24" LED FHD but the reviews seem negative about while giving it a back handed praise
Then looked at the LG 23MP68VQ review sounds really good although the review says its not colour accurate. For a budget gamer is that even a consideration really? would the average person even notice?
By budget gamer I mean I don't play online much or competitively and I don't need the latest and greatest tech. I'm only just getting around to playing fallout4 and the current monitor struggles when the game is showing some night scenes. Other than that the monitor gets used for basic web surfing or office tasks and xbox s
cheers.
