bit of a tricky one here, laptop panel modding

I've got a screen for a lenovo yoga 1st gen, 1440p with touch screen, basically one of these Lenovo is 00UR192 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/14in-Leno...-/352576748750 (not from this auction but the same thing.
It was ordered by mistake (we needed the 1080p one) and by the time the mistake was spotted it was too late to return.
So I was thinking about turning it into a pc screen as so https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mFUTpvetjM or better still if I can find a touch board as well then into a Cintiq graphics tablet type thing.
However I'm not finding the correct controller boards, can anyone help?

I think it might be worth buying a broken screen portable monitor and swapping the screen. Assuming you can find enough out about the broken one.

    For example,

nice idea, But again I need to find a 40pin 1440p model, that asus one is 30pin 1080p which is more common :/
the casing I can make no issues, finding the correct the electronics is proving the hard part.

it's annoying because we've got a working AFAIK 1440p 14" panel with built in wacom touch/pen glass, but nothing to use it on/with.

Would your Yoga support the 1440p screen?
(Although for my eyes, 1440p on a 14" screen would be too much.)
Thinking being, fit the 1440p screen to the laptop and use the 1080p for your DIY mod attempt.
The hardware manual for the Yoga seems to be rather poor.
Also, Lenovo split the part numbers away from the maintenance manuals a while ago which makes trying to find answers about part numbers tricky.
What I was trying to see is whether there are multiple mobos or not, or if there is only one would your Yoga support the 1440p screen? Or - like was the case when I upgraded my T540p from the 768p to the 1080P - do you just need a different display lead?

On the other hand, plenty of hits for "40 pin HDMI controller"on ebay, although only one from the UK

unsure why it mentions the screensize and part numbers though: maybe 40-pin panels are not as generic as we could hope for?

unfortunately no it doesn't work, 1080p screens are 30pin not 40, otherwise I would of used the 1440p one
and it gets worse, there are 3 different types of 40pin connector https://www.laptopscreen.com/English...een+connector/ which are incompatible with each other but the same physical connector.
What's worse is that putting the wrong stuff/connector on the wrong stuff/connector can break stuff, those flimsy ribbon cables carry power as well as signal.
One of the lessons I've learnt the hard way is always unplug the power & battery on a laptop before messing with the screen cable, getting that ribbon not quite straight if there's power going through it will kill the motherboard, screen or both.

I saw that but looking up the panel numbers they are 40-pin LVDS connection.
It's the same as the 30 to 40pin adaptors I've found they are all 40-pin LVDS to 30pin eDP
