New monitors

Got a new PC last year which included a 4090, however I'm still using extremely old monitors, so I want to upgrade to get what I paid for out of the 4090.

Anyone got any recommendations for 24 inch monitors?

Does it need to be 24? A nice 27" at 2560x1440 would look pretty good.

Yeah my current desk wouldn't fit more than 2 x 24" (which I currently have) and normal monitors.

I have had really good experiences with AOC, and currently have an LG which again is decent, I think you can't really loose these days with how spoilt for choice you are.

Ultra wide instead of two? I picked up a relatively cheap one a while ago and it's been great, not super high spec but it's substantial and has freesync.

I've ran anywhere between 1-4 monitors, and now I'm on a 27" 2560x1440 I wouldn't go back to 2 smaller monitors.

2x 24 = 48... so a 48" monitor?

I've always understood there to be a, and I hate this term, 'sweet spot' for resolutions vs screen size. Generally these have been touted as:
24" for 1080p
27" for 1440p
32" and above for 4k.

I'm using a 32" Gigabyte M32U for my 4090 and the results are fantastic. If you want to get what you paid for the 4090 to do, I would think a single larger monitor would be the better option. At that resolution, you have plenty of desktop space anyway, so may not even need separate monitors.
Gigabyte do a nice looking 48" for about £800.

My first "high end" monitor was an Iiyama, 21" 4:3 1600x1200 purchased in 2004 with an IPS panel. Still in use by my mother-in-law, saying that I'm still using the 17" 1280x1024 Dell monitor I got when I started my job, also in 2004, right now. I prefer the 5:4 aspect ratio for working in AutoCAD

If you are worried about having enough desk space ever thought about making the second monitor portrait? Then you could go larger on the primary monitor in the same physical horizontal space.

Love my Gigabyte M28U, lovely monitor, and I got it boxed like new for £250
