XP Pro SP2 up to date with all the patches

I wasnt too fussed, got Excite truck on the Wii instead (I already have SC to play for strategy anyway )

IMO the camera is far too close in too in C&C3, wouldnt kill them to allow the camera to go back further than it did

dunno what it is with buggy games ATM, C&C3 and stalker both crash out on me a fair bit ATM....well stalker did before I patched it and started again...

I brought my pc down to stock, however when it is overclocked I use the following:

Orthos blend (as in the dual core stressing version of SP2004) +32m superpi (allow orthos to run for a day then run superpi at the same time)

Same program I used to get a stable overclock and CnC3 ran fine on my rig, maybe the game doesn't like your graphics card, very strange indeed.
What temps do you get on your Overclock?

on the C2D under 52*c on load (using speedfan with a P5B deluxe...sig needs updating) and usint a tuniq tower 120
(was about 60*c untill the shin-etsu TIM I used 'set in')

Complete all GDI and NOD Missions and Yes, it unlocks the Scrin.
At first I thought the game had crashed at the end of the Nod Final Video as the entire game interface had locked, but clearly not, it goes into the special Scrin selection, so don't press Escape or anything the game hasn't crashed it's supposed to freeze like that, the transition is nice and I wasn't expecting it either, added bonus to the game.

Nothing like that with SC, 10 years in the making and they come up with a crap storyline with only 6 missions per side, very lame Chris. The amount of missions that CnC3 gives you is Insane, excellent VFM.

What I don't like about the AI is that it cheats, I don't like being tank rushed when I've only just built a barracks, it's very frustrating. Obviously I should be playing online, but err, I can't, it won't work D:

What AI are you playing?
I find the Steamroller one quite fun especially with more than 1 AI against you, so many units rushing your base like, ha. Overwhelming, bah, nothing a blast from the Ion Cannon won't sort out.
If you are finding the AI too hard try lowering the skill level or the handicap setting.

Just out of curiosity, what version of the game did everyone buy?
I just brought the standard edition and got a free Nod t-shirt heh
I know the Kane edition came with exclusive wallpapers and Strategy videos (helpful for noobs I guess), I thought that they might have included a map maker with either version like previous cnc games.

I got the Kane edition (for £27), I really wanted the Tshirt but thought the Kane edition has some good extras. (Only skins and extra multiplay maps + DVD)

Yeah, shame about the mapmaker, would have been a lovely bonus to round off the package.

Yup, thats the one. Guess I need to build up some serious base defenses nearer the start (when against GDI)

I only played that level once. Maybe I should try it again.

If you're on about the sarajevo mission. Just forget anything that isn't in the inner circle of walls, build up a few obelisks and SAM's in there. Then just build up loads of stealth tanks, and avatars. Wait for the green NOD troops to arrive and put the GDI out of business, then rush their new base. Job done.

Don't even bother attacking the GDI it's just a waste of money. Let the obelisks(dont forget to overcharge them using the beam cannons) do what they do best and wait it out.

Pretty much what I did, although I used stealth bombers to take out their major buildings first before I sent in my upgraded Avatars, but yeah don't bother with GDI as the rebel scum will take them out for you.

The entrances only have one or two obelisks guarding them. Just rush in blow them up(stealth tanks are great for this) then you can knock out the power plants and the rest of the defenses are useless.
