I think that demonstrates things quite nicely:

I've found it quite enjoyable so far - I love the array of actors they have got in for this. Also they have gone back to the good old C&C filmed cut-scenes.

Not as pretty as I was expecting, but it actually runs on my computer really well - which is more than I can say for SupCom.

However I find myself missing the SupCom zoom

Doesn't the base screenshot just look like the in-game one?

I can't see much difference between playable and max - just AA and soft shadows.

Well the more units you have the better chance you stand of annihilating the enemy.

As strategy games go, though, this seems to be an incredibly quick one. The games take next to no time at all. However, that could just be because I've been playing a lot of supcom recently and that is _slow_.

Love the actors they got, guy from starship troopers and the chicks from bsg and house.i think it looks pretty close to the official screenshots once u zoom in enough, im playing it everything on high/ultra high and level 5 anti aliasing and its never dropped from 30fps once in 2 hours+ of gameplay using fraps to get the framerate counter.

Its nice to see some good optimization once on the pc and i think it plays a treat very fast and much more like old school c&c.

Hurrah for widening system specs, the PC industry has got a bit silly of late, Supreme Commander being one example.

    Looking forward to getting this.

You should have downloaded it this morning, I was getting it at 1800+kbs from a random server on ShareURL .

This game seems really good... it even runs well and nicely on my PC, and it looks gorgeous. I think they did well deciding not to make the characters look overly detailed when close up (like Company of Heroes) and focused to make everything look nice from a distance, like heatwaves, nice direct x effects on gunfire and stuff, very impressive. Plus the menu isn't laggy.

Is this definitely an EA game? o_O?

Well there isnt widescreen support The ion cannon had damm good effects, the ground ripple and flash it made after it had detonated was quite something. I kept letting the enemy rebuild a base to then use it again on them

    EDIT:

Its native support according to widescreen gaming, I'll be quite now and stand in the corner.
