I think I'm getting hooked on this game. I've played all the demo levels and wanting to play the other 2 factions

Got myself a very good tactic with the zone troopers in APCs (3 APCs) along with a couple of other APCs

I started playing Supreme Commander and it seems like TA. Need to spend more time with it but I'm more C&C man myself.

Needs further testing (tomorrow), but looks like motherboard actually as so far it looks like if I put a single bank of memory in bank 4 (in distance from the processor) it tests with no errors, bank 1 produced over 1000 errors in a pass of memtest, bank 2 got to about 60% before the screen went all ZX Spectrum on me

Try bumping the voltage up. then again you have a £200+ motherboard, so any kind of issue would be unacceptable IMO. Get it RMA'd. Glad I didn't splash out on one

I was gonna say ZX81 as it was grey and white, but then I remembered it wasn't blocky enough for that!

Thought about that, but then also thought the same as you, shouldn't need furkling with. Cant remember off the top of my head, but I think the RAM voltage said 1.88, can anyone confirm if that is the correct "standard" setting for Corsair Dominator PC6400 C4 ?

    Sorry for the OT

Nah 1.88v is low for DDR2, the dominator stuff is either 2.2v or 2.4, depends which set you got(tighter the timings higher the voltage) either way. I'd try 2.2 then 2.4 if there's no improvement.

You do know that you can play both GDI and NOD on skirmish missions, right?
Hover over the Greyed out Nod side selection then press N, it should then let you play NOD, much more fun imho.
Hordes of Stealth tanks, the Brutal AI didn't stand a chance The Avatar War Mechs are cool, especially the upgrade option. I absolutely love the new ION Cannon, very powerful indeed, the NOD Nuke is good but I would have liked some radiation effect like the ones you had in RA2.

Yep, tried with The Scrin side too, the skirmish mission starts then Instant Defeat, I guess that happens because they didn't include the Scrin side data with the demo game, just the Purple interface. I definitely prefer this to Supreme Commander, I waited years for the sequel and was quite let down by the overall game, felt too much like TA, not that I don't like TA but they could have spent a lil more time working on the campaign missions like EA have done and more diversified units, bar the Tech4 ones that is, the UEF Fatboy owns all, long range anyways.

After playing as both sides I think that it's pretty good. The cut scenes are good, especially with Tricia Helfer and Grace Park ( I <3 BSG.) While it easily beats Supreme Commander, but still is nothing compared with the C&C games of old.

And its Tiberian. Not Tiberium. Bloody EA.

I think the problem with the demo is it's a bit too full for my liking - don't get me wrong, it's a damn fun game - but i just feel that since you have access to all the units of both GDI and NOD (admittedly on only one map), i might just play on the demo until the real thing gets a lot cheaper.

Just played with the NOD side and I found it less satisfying than with GDI.
Mind you it was a lot easier to finish and the AI seems to attack much less.

Whiternoise - I think the beauty might be in network play.

Well hordes of Mammoth tanks with Rail gun add-ons should crush hordes of those Avatar Watchmen’s that's for sure, but having cloaked units is a serious advantage for NOD, the cloaked bombers come in very handy, not to mention a cloaked harvester which insures it's safety when working outside the base, most of the time anyways. It’s like £29.99 at the end of the day, worth every penny when you compare against new highspec Console game prices.

I did try and capture the GDI structures while playing NOD so I could have best of both worlds but every time I got an engineer close to one of the ai's building it self destructed, maybe a rule in the Demo game only?

Whoah the A Bomb has a devastating effect. Took out half my secondary base. Luckily my four walkers were temporary diabled with half life left. Got some engineers in and they were back to full health.

The NOD side came with 6 walkers to my main base, but my group of APCs with zone troopers and a couple of fully loaded grenadiers in APCs wiped them clean (well they took out one of my APCs)

Have to see what the Scrim have to offer.
