I have; got it for the Xbox when it came out. I really liked it, been wanting to give it another play through, but I don't know how well the 360 will handle it?

If you've played Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire is very similar. Your fighting styles belong either to the "Way of the Open Palm" or the "Way of the Closed Fist", and your strength in the different styles is decided upon how you play the game; doing "good" things gets you Open Palm points, "bad" things gets you Closed Fist points. The conversation system, too, may as well have been taken directly from KoToR (and probably was).

I think that's where the similarities end, though; the battle system is much more fluid than KoToR's was and the storyline is interesting.

I'd definitely say it's worth buying, especially considering it's probably available on the cheap now. Awesome game.

I am actually playing through the Jade Empire: Special Edition for the PC at the moment. Its pretty much as above really. Its a linear type game (apart from the option to do side quests) but the general narrative is as you would expect from Bioware, and makes for a compelling game really.

The setting is nice, and makes for a relatively pretty game to look at, but remember that this is an xbox port, so dont expect it to tax your 8800GTS too much.

Combat is real time as opposed to the turn based kotor variety, but you are able to pause (without going to a menu screen) so that you can think about who to target and with which fighting style. This does help later on in the game when you will be facing multiple enemies at once, with different strengths, weaknesses and immunities.

Basically, I think of it as playing out a story, listening to everything unfold. All the bits you do are good fun, but its all about the narrative really. It takes a while to get into but definitely worth a go, if its the type of non-hardcore thing you are after. Also if its action RPG you want, you could do a whole lot worse than Fable: The lost chapters.

If you need any more info on the game then PM or something if you want

The 360 handled it quite well when I played it last year (SE edition). I quite enjoyed it, got on with it better than KOTOR (which crashed on my xbox and wouldn't recognise the joypad I had plugged in which resulted in deleting the save games and starting again )

I played the XBox version and thought it was brilliant, although my girlfriend actually played through most of it. It's one of her favourite games ever!

I loved this game too, it was beautiful to look at and I really like the soundtrack too.

It had a great storyline that makes you want to keep playing. There's quite a lot of things you can do, especially with your party - you might find it interesting to have a look at the FAQs on GameFAQs.com - I missed out on quite a few things first time around

Played it on Xbox. Thought it was a brilliant game, 2nd only to the KOTOR series. (Big Star Wars fan, so a bit biased)

Only thing that irritated me was it being a bit short. And I have my questions over the Closed Fist style. You had to be a complete ****** to follow it properly, not quite the way they describe it in the game.
