Found this on play. Apparently it will let you play most games at 60hz- noticeablly smoother, full screen etc WOW

what is it though? : o
That's definitely not going to be worth it.
I've seen that before mate, apparently it only speeds up the image thats transmitted it can't actually make the gameplay any faster because there has to be a 60hz mode intergrated into the game to do that.

Sounded like removing a frame limiter or turning off VSync on PC, ok you have the extra headroom for your framerate but the hardware isn't going to give it? =X
Sadly not. I just wish they would make games with a 60hz switch for us europeans. Nearly every dreamcast game had one. SOny excuse for this just doesnt wash![]()
so its a boot CD basically?
60Hz modes is a mixed bag on the PS2. Some games do (Pro Evolution 3, Burnout 2, Dead or Alive 2, Virtua Fighter 4, etc.) but the majority don't. Prince of Persia doesn't, but does have progressive scan!
If it was up to me, all games would be in 60Mhz widescreen with dts but that's not going to happen, especially with the PS2's limited surround sound capabilities.
Raz
PAL games run at 50hz
NTSC games run at 60hz (20% faster)
framerate is increased (higer refresh rate of monitor- the tv allowed)
Games play a lot faster, feel much smoother and look better
An example would be any tekken game on ps the japanese version is 20%faster, bigger framerate etc
Ok so I am still wondering, what does it do?![]()
Well i assume this disc just makes the game look faster by magic or somethingeither way you can kiss goodbye to stability i imagine
