    TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED... on...

    amd 2400xp-m overclocked 2.2ghz
    1gb ram
    9600xt 128mb

    is it possible?
tried playing it on a slightly dodgy install of windows (had alot of apps on another hdd which i wiped so might not be a clean install as such and slow it down?) havent got latest drivers.
tried 800x600 and even 640x480 and still lags.
anyway i can get this to run smoothly?

Good riddance. Wish I'd done it about a year ago.

It's a game intensive on the HDD since there's a lot of loading textures especially at high speed... optimize your disk as much as possible. On the beta despite graphics options and overclocking etc, performance was near enough the same and always stuttered too much at high speeds that I always ended up crashing.

We really need a demo so we can test these things. It's almost criminal that they don't provide one on the PC which is the one system with so many different parameters..

Ive not had any issues with TDU. I bought it on release day and its been nice and smooth. Ive not experience any micropauses or anything of that nature

Ive been running it at 1680x1050, with max AA. I couldn't use HDR at that res as performance dropped to about 25fps.

yeah i find i have quite a few glitches too with graphics... plus sound didn't work properly until i lowered the sound acceleration in the driver.
other than that the game is great =] i enjoy roaming around in my ferrari enzo for hours listening to the classical radio station =]

what does everyone else like to drive??

What controller do you use? There have been many issues with MS sidewinder and Logitech g25 wheels. If you use one of these try unplugging and playing with keyboard (try it even if u use some other controller).

It works nearly ok on my system if i don't use my wheel. Some stuttering occasionally but pretty playable.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.

My rig runs it great with everything cranked up at 1680 x 1050 and with a wheel (Logitech Momo Racing) but I've heard quite a lot of people with *better* rigs then me are finding it unplayable!
