lol, don't get the wrong impression. We are not a bunch of squares. Far far from it. It's a great community full of light hearted banter. But it still has a different atmosphere to it than playing with kids that ruin online play.

I would also like to make it very clear that I am not for one minute trying to state that all kids ruin online gaming. That definitely isn't the case and I don't want to leave a diferent impression but some do.

The worst experience I had on XBox Live (and this is a 100% genuine true story) was playing Bankshot Billiards with someone who during the game told me he was 20. During our 5 frame match there were odd noises and I could hear his girlfriend in the background and I suddenly realised she was giving him a BJ while we were playing. That was the last straw for me and I looked for a mature gaming community and found www.planetmgc.com

That really happened. Now I'm not saying that was neccessarily an age thing but I was put off playing with strangers and PlanetMGC gave me the chance to get to know people before playing online with them. The assurance that brings is priceless.

rofl... great story... so you have to be single and over 25 to join the site then?

But I see your point about having serious gamers... but why not make that the restriction, not age. If i'm a 20yr old serious gamer, why can't I join?

Again, it's not my call but I would think that setting an age is a lot easier than saying "if you are serious enough". Saying 25+ makes it much easier because you can either join or you can't. Otherwise there would too many arguments about what classifies as "serious".
