    USB headset - suggestions?

    No more of this 'plugging/re-plugging cable from my soundcard' businesss please (and I can use these on my laptop). My requirements are;

    1) USB - no other cables
    2) Gaming primarily - some movies/mp3's I spose
    3) Mic, for ventilo/in-game comms

    I tried some 5.1 headsets - the Razer Barracuda ones were OK, but as I said above, I've got some speakers and I don't want to keep connect them (or not). USB 5.1 headset I used weren't alll that. Stereo ones are fine - Senheiser? Logitech? Siberia?

    I used a pair of plantronics DSP500's and they were absolutely superb.

    In fact i have them for sale atm in the relevant section *cough*. but really they are superb, in work we use exclusively plantronics stuff which is what swayed me onto them.

    I have the model up from them (but without the USB adapter) and I'm finding them excellent.

    You could also look into some speedlink Medusas, they're supposed to be fantastic 5.1 headsets. Not sure if it can be done solely by USB though.
