    XBox Live setup q

Went round to the ex wifes place last night to get the (ex) step sons XBox (1) connected up to the net.

He setup his user id, but then we got stopped by needing to get some access code. The XBox happily said about going to XBox.com/connect for more information.

Seems that I need to get hold of a Live starter kit, but at least for the original XBox, they seem to be pretty darned difficult to get hold of.

Anyone know where I can get hold of the Live Starter kit ... preferably without Project Gotham 2 (which he already has)?

    Ta!

an xbox 360 gold subscription does the same job, and is easier to obtain - i.e. an xbox 1 account and 360 gold account are interchangeable, and i use the same gamertag on both systems with a single subscription

I know the gamestation in Lower Early has an xbox live starter kit (for xbox 1) a 360 onee should work, but your not getting the headset though.

Ta for that. I'd looked up the 360 sub on Amazon, and some people commented that the 360 sub wouldn't work on the XBox? Seemed a little unlikely.

It does work, they're both interchangeable, my original xbox live account got changed to a 36 account and it still works on my original xbox.

If you want a headset though, you will need the original starter kit.
