Where's the best place to get a good deal on these?
I was looking at something like PC Gamer, but it's over 50 quid a year.. the US version of the same magazine is around 10 quid a year..

Perhaps start a petition to the government about it? And yeah, I only buy PC Format these days (and for the last couple of years) for Ask Luis. One day I will be that acidic.
I used to subscribe to PC Zone, but ever since the days of Broadband, the internet is a much better source of info
I used to get pc format all the time but it really has gotten rubbish now
the last straw was when an issue (i think right before the recent rebranding) had 16 straight pages of advertising...
PC format, well I used to read this back in the early 90s, but I refuse to buy a computer magazine that sticks models on the front cover for no reason at all.
I've been subscribed to PCGamer for many years now and still enjoy it even though I play less these days. I like the fact that interesting and important things are delivered to me without me having to search for them online. I also find that I agree with their reviews most of the time, or if I don't they've explained why that might be the case. I am paying about £40 but I've subscribed over 5 years ago.
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
I think some mags still hold up, PC Gamer being my favourite, and how dkmech said its nice not having to trawl the web for information, it is more relaxing and it's portable! ' The Spy's ' colume is a good read as well and he (or she) is quite accurate in his predictions/scoops.
On another subject did anyone read the Nintendo mag NGC (or previously N64)? absolute quality.
I think I would personally subscribe to Stuff or Evo (neither really gaming related) but they cover my technological interests (former) and carnal need for speed (latter). Thing is though, I currently subscribe to BiKE, but I hardly get a chance to read it
Oh and you can read mags in the bog - yes you can take a wireless laptop there - but how much of a geek are you if you do?
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
I find it hard enough to balance a broadsheet, let alone manage to hold my laptop while attending to other things...
Well, yeah, I'm a PCZ man meself. I just agree with most of it, and they make me chuckle. ACE
Oh, anyone remember a mag in the early nineties called ace? My first writings, there.
This hot girl came over to myspace last night, she twittered my yahoo till I
googled all over her facebook. Ask Jeeves...

I used to get gamin magazines. Then I got the internet and it all changed.
Just print out HEXUS reviews and read them on the Toilet if you need something to read
Print out? What a waste.
Shame Hexus doesn't have a PDA/Mobile viewable site ala BBC News...
