Recommend me PS2 games

Just moved into my new house and my housemate has a ps2 but no games (well GTA:SA which i completed on pc already). So i thought i'd experience the dark side and see what games are like for it. So I am want to know what games are a must have on PS2.

I was thinking of getting a fighting game, a burnout of some sort and perhaps a footie game to start with. Any other suggestions welcome. A bit extra info on the game you suggest would be good too.

I plan to check gamestation and bargain bins too, as I don't wanna spend loads. Also if someone wants to get rid of some ps2 games - if the price is right...

I think FIFA is better on PS2 than XBox 360, you get all the teams from all divisions!

I enjoyed armoured core on ps2 also a nice multiplayer called overboard bit childish but well fun when drunk
