    Battlefield 2 Problem

    Hi, I have Battlefield 2 with an online account, all legal, but within 60 seconds of connecting to a server i get an error message something along the lines of " you have lost the connection with the server" I have tried nearly every server available and the problem is still there. I have tried configuring my firewall and then gave up and disabled it, still with no luck.

    Any ideas anyone ? Any help greatly appreciated.

    1. do you have the latest patch?
    2. can you play single player without problems?
    3. i dont know how fast your system is, but I used to 'time out' when connecting, so I would have to re-connect to the server, but on the 2nd time it would work fine

    I had the problem with it disconnecting first time, and reconnecting a second time I could play for a long time with no problems.

    Updated ethernet port drivers? Updated router firmware if you use one?

    Thanks for the info. I have just downloaded the latest bf2 patch, that has seemed to fix. Thanks again.

    I find sometimes too that you have to delete your profile in My Documents.

    I no longe play BF2 but when I did and the patches were screwed, only a full untinstall, profile delete and registry clean run would work before reinstalling.

    also make sure you update punkbuster, if it wont do the initial update you will get kicked all the time..
