i kinda get the feeling this was a map they left out of previous patches and because they seem to have stopped supporting bf2 altogether they released it in an attempt to show they still care.

I played this the other night - a great map for tank battles - it is quite large tho in 64 player format, but with all the tanks and vehicles around there isn't much walking to be done. We had convoys of 3-4 tanks, plus DPVs and Humvees at one point - all driving through the desert as a unit - great fun!

The map begins playtesting next week for BF2142 aswell. Looks like a good map if you like tanks, so sniper rifles and pilums at the ready.

Enemy Terrority: Quake Wars will knock BF2 and BF2142 for 6 i believe when it comes out in September.

At least it'll be a hell of alot more bug free.

I think if they do release it for 2142 it will be too similar to Suez Canal....

Will it? How do you know this?

Don't forget STALKER, that was a let down and pretty buggy. Even holy of holies Supreme Commander had its issues. Thats the problem with PC gaming, there are just too many hardware configs.

No it will be perfect in everyway, promise

Well hopefully it will be anyway, and because lets face it, BF2 and BF2142 have more bugs than a locust storm hitting a wheat field. Admittedly they're slowing getting rid of them but end of the day they're making it worse.

ET:QW "looks" like it's going to be virtually bug free, no pc game can be truly bug free but i believe QW will be less buggy than others.

    And STALKER was a pants
