    The Darkness

Over the last few days I've been looking into The Darkness (not literally ) and it actually seems like a pretty sweet game. I haven't heard too many people talking about it and I was wondering what you guys think of it and if anyone has already pre-ordered it as it's out next week.

I just placed my pre-order on the Game website because it comes with a free comic

Mines pre-ordered from gameplay so it'll turn up thurs (day before release ), got play-mag for ps3 and its got review in there!!! darkness received 91%, they say the story line is superb, 30 % of the game is in the otherworld and 70% is in new york, It took them about 15 hours to complete but there are loads of side-quests to do. I was thinking of getting this from the us at first cus it's out on monday 25th but with delivery times it wasnt worth it. The xbox360 and ps3 versions were both built from scratch so there's no portation (is that a word??) going on and are exactly the same but i believe the ps3 has more in-game tv films/tv shows/cartoons cus of blu-ray, and i think its going to be the 1st game on ps3 with trophies. Cant wait to get it !!

Yep, had the preview code. The review version arrived today, but unfortuntaly means I have to play it from the beginning even though I'd played 5 hours into it. I love the game. Not sure why 1up have a review online we've been told ours can't go live till the 25th.

Giving it a good playtest over the weekend, hopefully I'll complete it (hear it's about 10hours). It's looking great so far though.

Had a look around the the multiplayer maps and I like the look of them, a few powerups, weapons lying around. I get the feeling looking at the layout of the maps and the set-up it might play very much like FEAR online - which I didn't like. Early days though, there's noone online to test it out with!

So much atmosphere, and the story really is great - SO FAR!

One thing, when they first released the press release for this it looked as if there would be around 14 different darklings to command. There's only four. I think they could have pushed it further with even more variety, but the ones they do have are fun to use.

I'm looking forward to this. Ill probably get theps3 version if its the same price as the 360 version just as i find the ps3 quieter when playing.

Funny thing was I was having an argument with an online pc friend of mine. He hates consoles as he actually has to pay for a game and cant download it as easy as a pc version. ( yeah i know you can get pirated 360s )

Its kinda sad the way pc games are going as they get less and less each yeah. I mean would halo have been so big if it came out for the PC and not xbox originally.

European PS3 release has been delayed to July, so won't be out on Friday... I believe the reason is that SCEE haven't reviewed and authorised it for release, even though SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment USA) have.

I'd never thought I'd ever say this, but seems MS have actually done something right and have a global process for games release

Picking it up tomorrow looks like a good game. If its even half as good as escape from butcher bay it'll be awesome, that was probably one of the most under rated games ever. Oh and when are gtech and barichello tying the knot then?
