    Call of Juarez

So this arrived for me yesterday...

But I can't play it yet because I have no working windows partition and until payday no funds to purchase a copy of Vista

What should I expect? I bought it on a bit of a whim!

its a strange game, the bits with Rev Ray are really good lots of action - life like weapons quick draws duels chases on horseback all the stuff ud expect in a "western", the bits with billy are a bit hit and miss not always clear where u need to go and the sneak system isnt the best and the controls can be a bit dodgy i also thought is was very short - but i did enjoy it a lot

    Permanently confused

ive just purchased a copy and started last night. and nearly uninstalled it because i didn't get one with the very first mission with Billy. Ive just done the mission with Rev Ray must more my kind of thing. I don't get one with stealth games at all.

I uninstalled the second it plonked me back to the start of the level for throwing a stone at a horse, when only moments earlier I'd smashed up and entire saloon - windows, glasses, bottles, chairs, the lot - and nobody so much as blinked.

I picked up a rock, and threw it. It hit a horse. The game moaned about animal cruelty or something, and restarted the level.

I was really unimpressed with that. The game in general was rubbish, but I tried to persevere.

Just live I've been doing tonight with Quake 4. Boring weapons, crappy hovertank invinciblility nonsense, uninspired level design, the enemies are crap, blah blah blah. Seen it before a hundred times, and it was just as crap then.

I enjoyed parts of it and hated others. The missions with Billy are quite tedious and eventually resulted in me dropping the game half way through.

I got vista yesterday so I've spent the last few hours playing COJ. The first mission is terrible, I agree--but the sections with Reverend Ray have been a lot of fun.
