LOL look mate, i have a 360 and think the ps3 is <language - swear filter is there for a reason, please dont avoid it> but whats the point in having all these great games and LIVE service when i cant even use them due to my xbox breaking like many peoples have and waiting more than a month for it to be repaired?

i dont give two ****s about blue ray or hd dvd, i buy a console to PLAY GAMES my friend and at the moment a 360 cant even do that for more than a year since i got it!

I believe one of the best reason to get a ps3 rather than a xbox is because it works and 360 dont............. microsoft better do something about this mess of there's or i will be buying a console that actualy works more than a year...

Whats the repair policy got to do with this whole topic?. I know about 8 people in person who own x360's, only Beanbandit's has broken, no-one elses has and he got a replacement within a week.

It doesnt change my previous point that it is 1 set of development deployed to two consoles.

Its going to be the same game.....

Nah, I was refering to the machine that...

A machine that is so good they have to release a "elite" version to fix these issues

In the past I've bought it both for the PS2 and the PC. I now have a 360 and will be getting it for that.

Recently bought GTA: San Andreas for the Xbox to play on the 360, and got GTA: SA for the PC. I loved that game, wanted to revisit it!

On the debate about reliability. I got My PS2 when it first came out and it lasted up to 4 years - the laser still worked, even though I'd had it chipped and played updated versions of PES on it.

The 360 I got in October, my three mates all got it too around that time. No one has had any problems so far.

While the 360 has some reliability issues, these other points are pretty mute to be honest.

No inbuilt HD player? - Its a GAMES console. Id much rather have the OPTION of buying a GAMES machine then paying for the HD player. Its also much CHEAPER than the PS3 as a result.

No HDMI? - you talk like that's an issue?

Pay for online gaming? - Oh yes, on-line paid gaming that actually works?

And just for good measure the elite "fixes" nothing. Hardware wise, it adds a HDMI port and a bigger HD (if that bothers you)

all this fanboy crap is soo childish. i have a way of dealing with products. ready for lesson number one?

if i see two products that are similar I BUY THE BEST one IMO. now if there are newer versions of both the same product and the other one is better, i will buy that one instead!

now put that logic to consoles, beofr a 360 i had a ps2 then a dreamcast and than a n64. please lets not argue about ps3 vs 360. its getting boring now

For the love of God, the forum, and all that's good in the world, please stop. Pretty please.

You go round picking out every little thing that the PS3 has over the 360 then you make a post where you're basically admitting the 360 game has more content than the PS3 version. Then it's no big deal. Why do I have the impression that if this situation was reversed you'd be ranting and raving about how "the crappy 360 version doesn't even have ANY extra content !!!!!!!!!!!!"

Very true, but then half of the anti-PS3 noise that was floating around the net prior to its release was just Xbox360 owners bad mouthing a console that wasn't even out yet, trying to jusify their purchase.

j.o.s.h - the voice of reason.

I agree, and I am not going to get drawn into anymore of this baiting (from either side)

All I have ever done is try to explain why i prefer my new "£361.70" PS3 over my old 360, and i get flamed and accused of trying to "justify it" when i don't have to, i know it justifies itself as I play it more than my xbox 360 - and i am sorry if many people here can not comprehend that - I also have a pc which takes care of most xbox style games i like - Oblivion 18 months late someone asked earlier? who cares i didnt buy it for that, i completed it on my pc ages ago I don't think i can be called a "fanboi" as i own both consoles - something ironically that allot of the anti PS3 posters here do not - so as a result I would take their comments with a "pinch of salt" as many neutral people should.

So back on topic to the OP Keef247, I would not let one game dictate your console choice tbh, in the end different types of game will be released on different platforms, Sony sways it for me personally, but im sure xbox/wii users have their opinion and rightly so. But take your time to decide and research it all well -in the end you cant go far wrong. In the end its only about games and games consoles and there is allot more important things in life than us all having to push own views on someone else to accept.

Either way I am sure GTAIV will not disappoint, and enjoy on what ever platform you go for
