GTAIV... PS3 or 360?

well I'm really NOT sure which console to get so I can play this.
Is the PS3 capable of 1080p but the 360 only 720p apparently? or am I wrong? I'm not sure which is better to play the game on. I heard the 360 will have exclusive content? isn't this a stab in the back to sony considering they fathered the games before *** got there hands on it.
so will I loose out on bonus stuff if I get the PS3 version but gain better graphics with the higher HD resolution?
I'm so confused about all this! sorry!

the 360 is capable of 720p native in all games, 1080i/1080p in selected games, and 1080i/1080p upscaled in all games. the ps3 is not capable of upscaling - 720p games play at 720p or SD, 1080p games play at 1080p or SD. almost all games for both systems are targeted at 720p

both systems produce pretty much equivalent graphics

the word on the exclusive content keeps changing - current word is it's a 360 exclusive, but the previous word was that there would be some DIFFERENT exclusive content on the playstation network store

personally i'd always pick a 360 version of a cross-platform game instead of ps3, since playstation network is a heap of **** compared to live. but that's just me.

I would get the 360 version, seems more accessible for updates/extra content from just hearing lots of people talk about it

I'm pretty sure that this wont turn into another 'my console is better than yours' thread.

The console will be living in your house long after you grow tired of GTA - choose the console that you prefer/can afford.

I'm hoping that the 360 version will be as good, really don't wanna have to buy a PS3, but GT series is prob my favourite series.

Im not sure where i heard this, however apparently they have had to reduce the size of the world map on the game as the 360 would not be able to handle the planned large size. I will try to find a link to a source...

Why not wait til the games somewhere near being released before deciding? A lot will change beforte October comes around.

If GTA IV is your only reason for buying the console. I'd wait until the game is actually released read the reviews and decide then.

I have a 360 because there were good deals on them at the time I bought (about 2 months ago) and there were games released I wanted to play.

I'll probably buy a PS3 if/when there are exclusive/better versions of games I want to play

PS3 VERSION!!!!!!! At least with the playstation version your be able to play it and not have you console break!!! seems the best way to stop 360's malfunctioning at the moment is not to play it, that way it doesnt have a chance to heat up and 'break'. so keef i'll def go for the ps3 version for that reason only, why go buy a console you know is gonna break down.. plus your be able to hear gta4 rather than a hoover.

Work out which console contains the greatest number of games you want to play and which one gives you the most value for money. I would personally also wait for the review and see if one version wins out.

Certainly wait until it's closer to release! It's also possible one version will be delayed.
