Multi platform gaming headset your opinions

Hi all,
I'm looking for a hi-end (5.1/7.1) gaming headset.
I don't mind old fashioned wired - as I want to be multi platform and be easily and quickly able to move from xbox360 in the lounge to PC upstairs in the office, without the faf of moving hubs etc and charging.
I also have optical output on both pc and Xbox.
Have any of u got any recommendations?

Recently picked up a turtle beach xp400 and have been v happy with that. Works on Xbox, pc and ps3 and provides wireless surround sound with Bluetooth chat.
