    Angry Steam problems

    Hi guys

I've not been here since the dinosaurs died out, but I'm back now scrounging for help

A while ago I installed the Half-Life 2 demo, played it for a while, then uninstalled it because I upgraded my video card and the graphics went pear shaped, and I couldn't sort them out.
But I kept my Steam account. I've suddenly decided to give the full game a go, but for some reason Opera doesn't have my password any more. I went through the rigmarole of requesting forgotton details but I never received the e-mails containing that info. I've tried to make enquiries on the Steam forums and although I've activated my membership via the activation e-mail and I can log in, but it won't let me post/start a thread.

Therefore, does anyone here have an account on the Steam forums who can pass on a message to a Moderator or find out why I can't retrieve my details?

There's e-beers in it for any helpfull souls out there

    **PROBLEM SOLVED**

I finally managed to contact a member of Steam staff. Apparently my account was deleted during a big purge on un-used accounts. As for not getting e-mails, they were having some server probs

Thanks to all who took the time to read

Nice one. I signed up to the forums to try and help as i use steam, but alas they're slow buggers authorising.

    Still it's sorted now
